POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated Staff Auditor to join our team. This role focuses primarily on auditing governmental and nonprofit organizations, with some seasonal tax preparation responsibilities. As a Staff Auditor, you will be responsible for examining financial records, evaluating internal controls, and collaborating with your team to deliver high-quality client service. Travel to client sites (within 30–60 minutes of the office) is required.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Ability to travel to client sites located 30 to 60 minutes from the office.
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards (GASB, FASB, and Yellow Book exposure a plus).

Responsibilities
  • Perform audit, review, and compliance engagements.
  • Participate in on-site audits to gather evidence by inspecting documents, observing processes, and interviewing key personnel.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of audit procedures, evidence collected and conclusions reached.
  • Work closely with the engagement team to ensure client engagements are completed on time.
  • Stay up to date on accounting and auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team to ensure successful engagement completion.
