Job Title: Staff Coordinator
Location: CHD Care at Home – North Surrey
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Full Time Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, 5 days a week)

We are currently looking for a Staff Coordinator to join our team at Care at Home in Chertsey.
CHD Care at Home is part of CHD Living’s award-winning group of care services. We created our domiciliary care offering to help give some peace of mind to the elderly living at home and their families. From visits once or twice a day to 24/7 at-home support, our care team is dedicated to providing tailored services to those who need it most.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and coordinating various staff-related activities. This position requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in office software, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support care staff through regular spot checks, supervisions, and appraisals.
  • Conduct client assessments and ensure care plans are up-to-date and meet individual needs.
  • Lead team meetings and provide ongoing guidance to staff.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and handle incidents.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and manage emergency care situations, including client concerns.
  • Review and update care documentation in line with changing care needs.
  • Monitor and support medication management processes, ensuring the correct administration of medication.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on feedback from clients and staff.
  • Train and mentor new staff members and assist with onboarding processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and help to mitigate any potential risks to staff or clients.
  • Ensure all team members have the proper training and equipment to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide guidance on safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately.
    · To take responsibility for the branch out-of-hours on-call system as part of a rolling rota divided between the office team and perform such duties as required of a support worker as part of the on-call responsibility.
