As a member of the Enterprise Data Science and AI team, you will bring the rigor and innovation of data science to the non-R&D sectors of the company. Our data scientists identify the most significant opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs within our Operations and Commercial organizations. They experiment with and track the effectiveness of interventions implemented in Sales, Marketing, CLIA, manufacturing, and other areas. Additionally, they advocate for and implement generative AI solutions to enhance workflows across the company, driving productivity and innovation. Our Data Scientists collaborate with and learn from peers across the organization, including biostatistics, bioinformatics, R&D data scientists, and data engineers.

SOUGHT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Organization of large datasets from multiple sources and data streams (SQL, excel, pandas, etc)
  • Modeling of cross-section and time series phenomena (mixed effects models, regression, custom function optimization, autocorrelation, SARIMAX)
  • Signal Processing and Filtering (Spectral Analyses, Fourier Transform, Kalman Filters, Hidden Markov Models)
  • Model Deployment (code automation, serverless, streamlit.io)
  • Machine Learning (Random Forest, SVM, Cross Validation)
  • Generative AI (Prompt Engineering, RAG application)
  • Static and dynamic data visualization (seaborn, plotly)
  • Cloud environment (Azure, DataBricks)
  • Fundamental statistics (e.g hypothesis testing, data distributions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biostatistics, or other related field or a Master’s degree with over 10 yrs of industry experience
  • 4+ years of data science experience in a research or academic environment
  • 4+ years of data science experience in industry environment
  • Strong research skills , insatiable curiosity, and a dedication to understanding the “why”
  • High Integrity
  • Excellent communication skills, robust workflows, and strong instinct for documentation
  • Demonstrated impact through data science (publications, cost savings, etc)
Responsibilities
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis on diverse datasets related to operations, sales, and marketing
  • Research, build, interpret, optimize, and deploy predictive models
  • Design and execute studies that can show causal relationships between actions and improved KPIs (i.e “AB testing” or “Growth Hacking”)
  • Translate data insights into actionable business strategies through effective data storytelling, succinct communication, and impactful visualizations
  • Maintain a collaborative, well documented, and repeatable workflow
  • Collaborate with other data scientists, and importantly, our enterprise stakeholders
