This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Data Scientist in India. In this role, you will lead advanced data science initiatives that integrate cutting-edge AI and machine learning into core products, driving actionable insights and strategic business decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and analysts, to design and implement scalable GenAI and agentic AI solutions. Your work will directly influence the roadmap of data initiatives, optimize end-to-end data processes, and enhance the performance of AI models across multiple domains. You will mentor and lead other data scientists, ensuring best practices and technical excellence across the team. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, delivering high-impact solutions in a rapidly scaling organization. Accountabilities Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end generative AI (GenAI) and agentic AI solutions using tools like AWS Bedrock, Databricks, LangChain, and LangGraph. Build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, multi-agent workflows, and robust machine learning models. Collaborate with ML engineers to deploy models, establish CI/CD pipelines, and implement observability, monitoring, and drift detection. Work closely with product and business teams to prioritize data initiatives and align AI projects with company OKRs. Lead cross-functional teams, manage work allocation, run scrum ceremonies, and track team performance metrics. Identify data challenges, propose innovative solutions, and embed data science initiatives into multiple products. Ensure model reliability, prevent overfitting, and maintain operational integrity across AI systems. 10+ years of experience in software development or machine learning, with 4+ years in product management and at least 2 years leading data-focused initiatives. Hands-on expertise in building scalable multi-agent AI workflows and generative AI systems. Deep understanding of RAG pipeline design, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques for LLMs. Experience with quantitative and qualitative evaluation of AI/ML systems, including benchmarking and performance assessment. Strong knowledge of big-data technologies (Spark, SparkML, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Proven experience managing and mentoring teams of data scientists and engineers. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering concepts; familiarity with feature stores (e.g., Tecton) and model observability tools (e.g., Fiddler). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
