PCM provides comprehensive medical, mental health, & dental care services to over 80 county jails, prisons, and juvenile detention centers throughout the states of PA, MD, FL, NY, & NH. Correctional health care is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for today’s medical professional in that it provides the ability to truly utilize all of your learned medical skills and knowledge on a daily basis. It is the perfect hybrid of Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Addiction Medicine; providing care to an under-served, diverse, and truly appreciative patient population. We are currently looking for a Full Time Staff Development Regional Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide on-site services / support, throughout the state of New Hampshire. The ideal candidate would be willing to travel between five facilities in the state and work closely with our Regional Manager of Operations. Facilities would be Hillsborough County Department of Corrections in Manchester; Merrimack County Department of Corrections in Boscawen; Rockingham County Department of Corrections in Brentwood; Carroll County Department of Corrections in Ossipee; and Belknap County Department of Corrections in Laconia. We will be providing a company fleet vehicle with gas card. Some important key points: Salaries are negotiable and commensurate based on experience. Job Description: In this role some general duties will be: Evaluate and coordinate regional medical facilities in accordance with PCM policies and procedures. Provider on the job clinical support for nursing staff, including new hires and those transitioning into new roles. Assist with training and implementing company policy and procedures. Facilitate orientation for new staff, helping them acclimate to the workplace and understand their roles and responsibilities. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization Assists and participates in activities related to Facility inspections or investigations by regulatory or accrediting agencies Identify educational needs based on review of completed incident and accident reports for employees as needed Coordinate and provider CPR training classes and testing required for certification of all medical staff. Required to keep up to date files of certification renewals. Provides direct nursing care as necessary. All other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is typically required, along with a current Registered Nurse (RN) license, CPR Instructor required. Previous experience in nursing, particularly in a clinical education or staff development role, is preferred. Experience in healthcare delivery system. Proficient computer skills Previous supervisory responsibility preferred. Ability to multitask, work independently and flex schedule as needed. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential. The ability to assess training needs and develop effective educational programs is also crucial. Maintain active BLS (i.e. CPR) certification. Maintain current Driver’s License. On-call rotation with other regional staff members.
Responsibilities
The Staff Development Nurse will evaluate and coordinate regional medical facilities, providing on-the-job clinical support for nursing staff and assisting with training and implementation of company policies. They will also facilitate orientation for new staff and promote a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
