This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 4500000 - Rs 7000000 (ie INR 45 - 70 LPA) Min Experience: 13 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineering, QA, and internal technology teams to design, develop, and maintain a reliable, scalable, and secure build and testing environment Improve and support tools utilized for test execution, orchestration, and scheduling throughout development workflows Regularly assess system performance, detect bottlenecks, and apply enhancements to maintain stability and optimize efficiency Oversee the infrastructure lifecycle, including performing updates, upgrades, and applying security patches Deploy and sustain monitoring solutions to observe infrastructure health, system behavior, and application performance Lead automation efforts by using configuration management tools to simplify provisioning and deployment processes Create and keep up-to-date comprehensive technical documentation detailing system architecture, workflows, and troubleshooting methods Required Skills: Essential Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, capable of working effectively across engineering and IT teams Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience About 10+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles At least 2 years of experience leading engineering teams or managing technical projects Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and Shell scripting Advanced programming skills in Python Practical experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack Knowledge of containerized environments and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable platforms Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems and frameworks Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Skills Linux Administration Shell Scripting Python Ansible Chef Docker DevOps
