ABOUT THE ROLE Peloton is searching for an experienced, innovative engineer to spearhead our digital hardware development, focused especially on our Tablets. The ideal candidate will bring his or her years of experience, lessons learned, personal connections, and technical expertise to develop a range of industry-leading products. A strong understanding of complex system-on-chip operation, Android-based systems, and computer peripherals is essential. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON You will use your abilities to develop the architectures for Peloton’s industry-leading displays, audio systems, and sensors used on fitness products. You will be working with a small team of Peloton engineers located in Taipei, as well the Product Management and Engineering teams in the United States, to define our products and plot our direction. You will be working with some of the best contract manufacturing and semiconductor partner companies in the world. Your years of problem solving and industry connections matter here. This is a role where wisdom and creativity count as much as technical skill. This is an in-office position with the expectation to be onsite 3 to 4 days per week. YOU BRING TO PELOTON Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Electrical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering 10+ years in the hands-on development of digital consumer product electronic hardware, including a mix of experience in system-level architecture, vendor specifications, qualification plans, and detailed design. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Experience with Android mobile device or tablet architecture. Experience with development using mobile-device SOC’s. Experience in leading engineering teams through New Product Development. Wide connections to the consumer electronics industry in Taiwan and throughout Asia. Experience with high-quality audio and video entertainment systems. Experience with JDM and CM partnerships and contracts Experience with electrical safety regulations and EMC mitigation. Ability to articulate and defend engineering decisions as well as being able to present to executive level leadership Experience with sensors. Ability to travel throughout Taiwan and Asia, including in China, Thailand, and Vietnam. Travel is expected to be about 10%.
