Staff Engineer Applications Job Description In your new role you will: 1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Customer Application Engineers to deliver high-quality technical support and guidance to customers. 2. Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide expert guidance on the selection and implementation of Infineon products. 3. Oversee technical engagements with key customers, providing guidance and support on complex technical challenges and ensuring timely resolution. 4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a technical escalation point and ensuring effective communication and resolution of technical issues. 5. Define and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the CAE team's performance and enhance customer satisfaction. 6. Support customers with product integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure successful implementation. 7. Collaborate with internal engineering teams to address customer-specific technical challenges and provide customized solutions. 8. Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering, marketing, and sales teams. 9. Provide feedback to internal teams based on customer interactions to drive product improvement and innovation. 10. Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for customers. 11. Stay updated on industry trends, market requirements, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to internal teams. Your Profile You are best equipped for this task if you have: 1. 3+ years of experience in semiconductor industry/ application Engineering or Embedded domain with bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronics and communication engineering, or related field with a focus on embedded systems and firmware development. 2. Strong fundamentals and hands on experience in programming using C/C++, embedded system concepts and software build process. Knowledge of working with RTOS is a plus. 3. Good understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures(ARM, 16-bit and 32-bit). Familiarity with microcontroller peripherals like ADC/PWM/Timers/Interrupt handlings etc. 4. Experience in developing/troubleshooting low-level drivers and hardware integration for interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, PMBUS, CAN etc. 5. Basic knowledge and understanding of analog circuit design, sensing circuits, understanding of schematics, PCB Layout and circuit simulation is required. 6. Should be able to work with standard lab equipment for testing &debugging. 7. Experience in firmware development for power electronics applications, including motor control, power conversion and energy management is an added advantage. 8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex system behavior to optimize firmware and hardware performance. 9. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, internal teams, and senior management. 10.
