  • BS/MS in Chemical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in applied science/engineering
  • Strong technical fundamentals in chemical engineering
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving methods and experimental design
  • Technical curiosity and ability to solve multifaceted problems to drive processes and product improvements by applying Scientific Methods
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
  • Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs
Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineers to join our team in Corning, NY. This role will contribute to the development and optimization of chemical processes and technologies across various business sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply advanced chemical engineering principles—including material and energy balances—to optimize unit operations such as fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, rheology, ion exchange, etching, adsorption, filtration, drying, and solids processing
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in chemical engineering operations, integrating materials science to meet product and process performance targets
  • Investigate and identify Hazard Operations (HAZOPs) and perform Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) to ensure process safety and compliance
  • Design and execute experimental programs to evaluate and optimize chemical process and alternatives using theoretical, empirical, and modeling approaches
  • Develop and scale innovation processes to facilitate the safe transition from pilot to high-volume manufacturing
  • Conduct hands-on experimentation as needed in laboratory, pilot, and manufacturing environments to validate process concepts and drive innovation
  • Lead the development and implementation of new or improved chemical processes and products across multiple business sectors
