Job Summary Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer (12+ Years Experience) About the Role We seek a Staff Platform Engineer (12+ years) to architect, build, and operate cloud-native platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and paved-path tooling that accelerate delivery at scale. You will define platform standards and guardrails, implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and design resilient, multi-tenant services with HA/DR, zero-trust security, and cost governance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable CI/CD, service catalogs, and automation aligned to strategic goals. You will also contribute to secure connectivity through core PKI practices, including TLS/mTLS enablement, certificate lifecycle automation, and policy compliance. Experience integrating with CLM platforms (e.g., Venafi) or cloud certificate services is a plus. Key Responsibilities Architect and operate platform services across AWS/Azure/GCP, including multi account/subscription governance. Design scalable CI/CD ecosystems (ADO, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) with security gates and automated testing. Implement monitoring and diagnostics to ensure availability, performance, and reliability (SLO-aware). Define platform standards, patterns, and guardrails; own technical roadmap and conduct technical reviews. Partner with App/SRE/SecOps to align capabilities, controls, and cost optimization; drive automation and incident readiness. Mentor engineers; promote best practices in IaC, security, and operational excellence. Lead enterprise PKI architecture and automation (Venafi/CLM; public/private CAs) for certificate lifecycle, mTLS patterns, and secure key custody (HSM/KMS/Key Vault/Secrets Manager). Drive PKI governance—policies, CRL/OCSP/AIA distribution, and code signing—integrated with CI/CD, compliance, and audit reporting. Key Requirements 12+ years in platform engineering/DevOps/SRE with proven technical leadership and high level design ownership. Advanced AWS/Azure infrastructure; strong scripting (Python) and shell (PowerShell/Bash). IaC expertise (Terraform/CloudFormation), module design, remote state, and policy as code. CI/CD design and implementation (ADO, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline); artifact/versioning. Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); cluster operations and workload security. Configuration management (Ansible/Chef/Puppet) and Windows/Linux systems administration. Version control proficiency (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Git). Security integration (SonarQube/Veracode), TLS/mTLS, secrets management, and compliance controls. 5+ years in application development (.NET/Java) and hands on code/design reviews. PKI experience: X.509, CSR/EKU/SAN, OCSP/CRL, TLS 1.2/1.3; Venafi/CLM or cloud certificate services. Nice to Have Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP); serverless automation. GitOps and progressive delivery (Argo CD/Flux, blue/green, canary). Networking: VPC/VNet, Transit Gateway/Virtual WAN, DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies. Identity: AD/ADFS, SSO/OIDC/SAML; platform integration patterns. Image/AMI baking (Packer). FinOps/cost governance; cloud security posture management (CSPM).
