ABOUT THE ROLE

We are here to create great healthcare products. That’s at our very core, but it’s the people who make companies great, not the other way around. We spend more time with our co-workers than anyone else in our lives. Being part of an exceptional team is not only important for your personal mindfulness but key for your professional progression.
We’re now looking for an experienced Staff Engineer with a proven track record on enhancing performance, scalability, and in hands-on development, specializing in Laravel Framework and Vue.js. This role is pivotal for our next phase of growth, focusing on performance, scalability and transitioning our architecture towards modular monolithic architecture.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Lead the design and implementation of high-performance, scalable systems, ensuring our infrastructure meets current and future demands.

    • Drive the evolution of our architecture towards a modular monolith, improving system cohesion while maintaining flexibility for rapid development.
    • Setting high standards in development, innovation, security, performance and scalability.
    • Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to establish best practices and standards for system design, development, and deployment.
    • Mentor and guide team members, sharing your knowledge to uplift our architectural capabilities.
You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and you understand the importance of leading by example. As a Staff Engineer you are expected to actively share your knowledge and insights with the team to enhance the collaborative atmosphere and support the team’s professional growth.
Our culture is made of collaboration, ownership, and a deep commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing. This Staff Engineer role will foster this culture and you will get to inspire others and offer guidance in architectural design. All this to ensure that technical limitations and performance do not limit us exceeding our organizational goals and objectives.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

Ideally, you have already gained some experience from working in a fast growing, global SaaS company. In addition, our humble wishlist includes:
    -
    - Significant expertise in system architecture, with a strong portfolio of designing and implementing scalable, high-performance systems.
    - Extensive proficiency in Laravel Framework, Vue.js, and related technologies, with hands-on development experience that has directly contributed to the growth and scalability of previous projects.
    - Mastery of software development best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.
    - Experience with modern architectural patterns, particularly in transitioning to or implementing modular monolithic architectures.
    - The ability to work seamlessly in a remote team environment, with outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning.
    - A strong work ethic, reliability, and the capability to take ownership of your work, ensuring their successful execution and delivery.
    - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Capable of mentoring others and leading by example.
Moreover, your role goes beyond technical excellence. As a Staff Engineer, your strategic decisions and architectural innovations will directly impact the efficiency and satisfaction of healthcare professionals using our system. You will have the unique opportunity to influence the quality of care by providing a seamless, scalable, and robust practice management system to therapists worldwide, reinforcing our commitment to improving healthcare through technology
