Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Staff Engineer to lead our technical team in developing test solution for storage and communication protocol products, with a strong focus on electrical failure analysis and test engineering innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end technical solution development, guiding the team in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical failures, and ensuring robust, high-quality solutions that support next-generation product performance in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Optimize Test Strategies: Design and execute effective test plans focused on electrical failure detection, yield improvement, and product quality to meet factory and financial goals. Identify cost effective and innovative testing methods through failure debugging, validation and continuous improvement. Analyze post-reliability failures to provide actionable insights and develop solutions that minimize recurrence. Lead and Collaborate on Engineering Solutions: Lead product owner in developing debug solution and improvement strategies for storage and communication protocol products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve failures quickly and ensure projects stay on competitive timelines. Guide product owners in translating failure analysis insights into test KPI improvement. Champion Innovation and Cost Efficiency: Integrate advance testing and EFA techniques, driving test program improvements, test time reduction, and adoption of new test platforms, alongside with product owner. Implement cost-saving strategies and optimize test infrastructure, enhancing product reliability and reducing CAPEX. Continuously refine post-production test analysis to proactively prevent product failures. Technical Expertise and Support: Serve as the technical lead for electrical failure analysis, troubleshooting root cause for RMAs, production, NPI and reliability issues. Develop actionable solutions for recurring failures and improve DPPM metrics. Provide expert guidance on test methods, EFA techniques and failure debugging strategies to the broader team. Technical Communication and Documentation: Create and deliver clear, concise technical reports, EFA documentation, work instructions and test specifications. Communicate electrical failure analysis findings and improvement strategies effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional team. Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers in EFA methods, debug strategies and solution development Promote best practices and facilitate knowledge transfer monthly through technical training, workshops and documentation. Qualifications REQUIRED: 1. Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical & electronic Engineering Minimum 6 years’ experience in semiconductor product or test engineering. 2. Technical Expertise Proficient in problem solving methodologies, including FMEA, DMAIC and Fish bone diagram Proficient in SPC/SBL/SYL/six sigma analysis technique Familiar with Flip Chip technology. Deep understanding of storage and communication protocols (e.g., UFS, eMMC, PCIe) and ASIC testing methodologies. PREFERRED: Strong knowledge of Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) testing methods, failure mechanisms, and EFA techniques. Certified lean six sigma black belt or green belt. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, C++, and Java. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, C++, and Java for test development and data analysis. Proven leadership ability to guide technical teams while working independently. Highly self-motivated, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement. Effective in fast-paced environments with a strong record of meeting deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
