This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 3000000 - Rs 9000000 (ie INR 30-90 LPA) Min Experience: 10 years Location: Remote (India) JobType: full-time This role is designed for a highly experienced engineer with deep expertise in Chromium internals and strong command over C++. You will work hands-on with browser architecture, performance optimization, memory management, and distributed system components. The position requires at least 4+ years of specialized Chromium experience along with a solid decade of industry exposure. You’ll contribute to building high-performance, scalable, and stable browser-based systems while collaborating with engineering teams in a remote or hybrid environment within India. Key Responsibilities Work extensively with Chromium internals to develop, enhance, and optimize browser features. Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C++ components across complex system architectures. Perform advanced debugging, profiling, and performance tuning for browser and system-level modules. Handle memory management challenges and optimize resource utilization. Work with distributed systems components ensuring scalability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, architects, and product stakeholders. Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best engineering practices. Troubleshoot system-level issues and provide long-term, scalable solutions. What Makes You a Great Fit 4+ years of strong hands-on experience specifically with Chromium internals. At least 10 years of overall software engineering experience. Deep expertise in C++ design principles, debugging, and performance optimization. Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and memory management. Ability to solve highly complex technical challenges with precision and efficiency. Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for systems-level engineering. Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with global teams. Ability to thrive in remote or hybrid work environments within India.
