REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Work Schedule:
This position requires full-time onsite work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, following a standard 40-hour workweek. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day workweek, while others may be condensed, providing employees with additional time away from the office in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Field Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide field engineering support for the TPS-77 Multi-Role Radars. While in Saudi Arabia, the field engineer will report to the designated in-country Customer Radar Maintenance Officer-In-Charge (OIC), who will provide direction regarding radar site visits, work to be performed, and work-related priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external customers, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
  • Radar System Support: Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting of L-Band radars, specifically the TPS-77 Multi-Role Radar systems. The TPS-77 is a transportable L-band radar system used for air defence, known for its phased-array antenna and pulse compression techniques.
  • Test Data Analysis: Analyse test data to identify issues and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal radar performance.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and redlines to support maintenance and operational activities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize basic hand tools and test equipment effectively to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts and equipment necessary for radar maintenance.
  • Software Proficiency: Employ Microsoft application tools and UNIX operating systems, including associated commands, to support radar operations.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Apply knowledge of network fundamentals to ensure reliable radar system communications.
  • Military Protocols: Operate effectively within a military chain of command, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
