THE STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the technical direction and leading the development of our front-end applications, primarily utilizing React and TypeScript. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for building high-quality, secure, and user-friendly products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead technical design and development: Drive the architectural decisions and implement complex features for our core products, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality across the team.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Act as a go-to person for complex technical challenges, debugging and resolving production issues efficiently.
• Improve engineering practices: Champion best practices such as testing and risk management to improve our development workflow. Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers. Proactively identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers: Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and help the team grow their skills and expertise in front-end development. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.
• Stay current with technology: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the web ecosystem and front-end technologies to continuously improve our stack.
