As a Staff Fullstack Engineer at HERO, you’ll be the technical force multiplier in a cross‑functional product squad. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers from the very first discovery conversations through to rollout — shaping architecture, guiding systems decisions, and ensuring the things we ship are robust, observable, and built to last. Your Mission Lead the design and implementation of full‑stack features using TypeScript, Node.js, Vue 3, and PHP. Make strategic architectural decisions that ensure scalability, performance and stability. Own systems end‑to‑end: from early discovery to release, monitoring, and ongoing improvements. Build robust APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integrate complex backend systems. Push engineering excellence: testing, observability, documentation, and clean architecture. Collaborate closely with Product & Design to clarify requirements and shape solutions. Mentor engineers across teams and help elevate engineering standards across the organization. Drive AI‑assisted engineering practices and identify opportunities for AI product features. Your Superpowers 6+ years professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer / Software Engineer. Proven staff‑level technical leadership: mentoring, architecture, system ownership. Excellent hands‑on experience with TypeScript (frontend & backend). Strong working knowledge of Vue.js, Node.js, and modern SPA development. Solid backend engineering experience: APIs, caching, distributed systems. Strong database skills (MySQL / PostgreSQL) plus experience with Redis or Elasticsearch. Comfortable in cloud‑native environments: CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, DevOps concepts. AI‑native mindset: you use AI tools daily and understand how to integrate AI into product features. Strong communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines. Calm in ambiguity, proactive, pragmatic, and driven by impact — not just elegant code. Bonus superpowers that help you shine even brighter: Experience building AI‑powered product features such as assistants, smart suggestions, or workflow automation. Understanding of prompt design, RAG patterns, vector search, or evaluation of AI systems. Background in ERP, field‑service, construction, trades, or vertical SaaS products. Experience working in distributed or remote‑first squads. German language skills around B1 (optional and not required).
