Overview:
TISTA is seeking a skilled Staff Infrastructure Engineer professional to design, build, manage, and maintain the IT infrastructure that supports our organization’s operations.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible for provisioning, configuration, and automation.
- Automate deployments, monitoring, and repetitive tasks using Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and integrate IaC and automation into DevOps workflows.
- Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure for reliability, security, and performance.
- Apply security best practices including firewalls, access controls, vulnerability scans, and compliance with NIST/FISMA standards.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable cloud solutions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering
- 7+ years scripting/coding (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.).
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong hands on experience with AWS (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.); Azure experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking, Linux/Windows servers, virtualization, and storage systems.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and federal security standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Architect, Terraform Associate) are a plus.
- IaC related Coding/Scripting & System Design will be part of technical screening.
- There will be culture fit/behavioral round after the tech screen.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
