Leading innovative design and development of high-speed integrated circuits Development and optimization of circuit models and simulations Mental agility is a must for a IO Circuit Design Engineer as we work with all product types (commodity, mobile, graphics) and product teams in parallel with silicon validation efforts 10 or more years in analog design and simulation experience required 10 or more years in High-speed IO circuit design include receiver and transmitter circuit design experience Proficiency with UNIX and CADENCE design environment (Simulation, Schematic entry, SPF extraction) Demonstrated ability of at least 5 years with circuit verification and optimization including layout verification and parasitic extractions of the circuits Strong communication skills with the ability to convey sophisticated technical concepts to other design peers both verbally and written Prior experience in channel modeling and characterization, transceiver noise and timing budget analysis, equalization techniques, SI knowledge, etc Demonstrated ability of 7+ years in IO Design with a Masters or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related technical field. Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching engineers Understanding of device physics and basic CMOS processing techniques preferred Demonstrated ability with PERL/Python (or other scripting languages), a plus
