Responsibilities Role OverviewWe are seeking a T2 Platform Engineer (Automation) who can independently design, build, and improve automation across platform and infrastructure services. This role bridges operations and engineering, with ownership of automation, reliability improvements, and support escalation from T1.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts• Own and improve platform reliability, availability, and performance• Handle T2 incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation• Support and optimize containerized and Kubernetes-based platforms• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, Security, and Application teams• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting improvements• Review T1 automation and guide junior engineers• Ensure platform security, compliance, and best practices Qualifications Mandatory Skills• Strong experience in automation and scripting• Proficiency in Bash/Shell and one or more programming languages(Python / Go / Java preferred)• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)• Hands-on experience with containers and Docker• Working knowledge of KubernetesNice to Have• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)• Infrastructure as Code exposure (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)• Experience using AI-assisted automation or AIOps tools• Understanding of security practices (secrets management, IAM)Soft Skills• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills• Mentoring mindset for T1 engineers• Clear communication during incidents and reviews
