We’re seeking a Staff Machine Learning Data Scientist to play a key role in advancing our physiological feature pipeline and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with wearable health data. This role is ideal for an experienced ML expert who excels in multimodal time-series modeling, thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, and brings a balance of hands-on technical depth and strategic thinking.
Location: Finland, we have offices in Helsinki and Oulu

Lead the development of advanced ML models for fusing multimodal time-series data (e.g., PPG, motion, temperature) into meaningful health features
Design robust, generalizable algorithms for complex physiological signals across diverse populations
Guide experimentation strategy, from data acquisition to deployment, across both research and product contexts
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sensor R&D, firmware, and product, to align on feature goals and implementation feasibility
Act as a technical mentor to other data scientists, elevating best practices in model development, evaluation, and interpretability
Drive architectural decisions for data pipelines and infrastructure that support scalable and reliable model deployment
Contribute to long-term science strategy, helping shape the vision for physiological sensing at Oura
