Description
Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion. Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA. Required to work on Mobile Mammography Van, when needed, including some weekends. All requirements and responsibilities apply when assigned on van. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 2 years from date of hire. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Non Degree Program Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program. Required Experience 2 years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position Required 1 year experience in Mammography Preferred Licenses Reg Technologist (R) (M) Required Mammo Quality Stand Act Req Required Basic Life Support Required
