Glocomms is currently partnered with a cutting-edge cloud infrastructure provider that operates high-performance GPU clusters supporting AI research, enterprise innovation, and government-scale computing. As their operations scale globally, they are seeking a Senior or Staff Network Security Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced network security strategies.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, mission-driven team that values technical excellence, ownership, and a security-first mindset.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in hyperscale environments or top-tier cloud providers.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade DDoS/WAF tools (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS Shield, Akamai, Arbor, F5).
  • Hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, MFA, and NAC within Zero-Trust networks.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Go) for automation and CI/CD security.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, AWS/Azure specialties).
  • Active engagement in the security community or open-source projects.
Responsibilities
  • Perimeter & Edge Security: Architect and deploy robust protections at the network edge, including firewalls, proxy layers, WAFs, and CDN-based controls. Harden ingress points against unauthorized access and attack vectors.
  • DDoS Mitigation: Build and maintain resilient DDoS defense programs. Monitor traffic, implement rate-limiting and filtering, and respond to volumetric threats.
  • Zero-Trust Architecture: Lead the rollout of Zero-Trust principles across cloud and network domains. Enforce least-privilege access, continuous verification, and micro-segmentation.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Establish comprehensive monitoring systems to detect threats early. Investigate indicators of compromise and coordinate rapid incident response.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Networking, Infrastructure, DevOps/SRE, and Engineering teams to embed security into system design and deployment.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Promote a security-first culture. Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices across teams.
  • Policy Development: Draft and maintain security policies and SOPs tailored to scalable, distributed environments. Align posture with industry standards.
