An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Outpatient Nurse to join our existing teams in West Block Outpatients (CGH) and General Outpatients (GRH). We are a dedicated and supportive team that provides treatment and care to a wide variety of patients.
Within our departments we run appointments for a wide range of specialties including Dermatology, Gynaecology, Rheumatology, Urology, Cardiology and many more. Also, our Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit at GRH provides outpatient clinics for syncope, TIA’s, falls and Parkinson’s disease. Our departments are busy, changeable working environments which offer scope for personal development.
The successful candidate[s] will be expected to work regularly and rotationally across both sites within Gloucester and Cheltenham General OPD’s. (Hospital transport bus available with Park and ride facilities in Cheltenham area).
Work as part of a designated clinical team delivering care which is focused on the direct needs of the individual. Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the patients defined plan of care and NMC Code of Conduct. Contribute towards developing a culture of learning and innovation, developing high quality learning environments. Assist in the implementation of appropriate action to meet the specific physical, emotional and psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of individuals and carers.
Plan and manage competing elements of the job role within a busy, changeable working environment, including flexible working patterns to support cross county working. Work in an effective and organised manner demonstrating excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively deliver person-centred care for an allocated group of individuals. Clinical activities require highly developed skills. This often involves working in certain restricted positions (e.g. bending and kneeling) where posture cannot be easily changed. Continuous concentration is necessary to ensure the high level of clinical care required of the post-holder. This may be difficult to maintain in the presence of frequent interruptions from clinical colleagues, requiring advice.
We are seeking a highly compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse that possesses excellent communication and people skills to help us continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients. We are an experienced team who care deeply about our patients and their hospital experience[s] with us. The successful candidate[s] will be required to work regularly and rotationally across sites within Gloucester and Cheltenham General OPD’s. (Hospital transport bus available with Park and ride facilities in Cheltenham area). We actively encourage and support appropriate staff development within their role[s]. Our departments are open Monday to Friday 8am- 6pm (with occasional late finishes).
With a team of over 9,000 employees, we are proud to be the largest employer in Gloucestershire and rank among the top 10 largest Trusts in the South West region. By joining our Trust, you will benefit from an excellent package that includes exclusive benefits, flexible working opportunities and the chance to gain valuable experience in one of our innovative hospitals. As well as generous annual leave allowance, access to the excellent NHS pension scheme, competitive bank rates, discounts at local shops and restaurants, access to two on-site nurseries, discounted public transport, reward and recognition and a range of health and wellbeing initiatives to support you.
