REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered on the Irish live register (NMBI). Must have active PIN.
  • Bachelor’s (preferred).
  • 1 year Nursing experience (preferred).
  • Experience of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
  • Strong clinical & communication skills are required.
  • IT skills, Computer literate in Outlook, Work and Excel.
  • Fluent in English language (verbal and written).
  • Proven attention to detail and follow through.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supervising and providing comprehensive nursing care, ensuring the health and comfort of our residents. Your expertise will be pivotal in fostering a supportive and healing atmosphere. We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Staff Nurse to join our team, someone who thrives in a nurturing environment and is passionate about delivering high standards of care.
This is a Full Time Contract.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing residents’ admissions, discharges, and medication administration in line with best practices.
  • Developing individual care plans using a person-cantered approach.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of Care Notes and Plans.
  • Maintaining high standards of resident care and hygiene.
  • Supervising mealtimes, attending to feeding requirements, and performing necessary personal care tasks.
  • Assisting with in-house training, emergency response, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assume responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated residents.
  • To plan and deliver a high standard of evidence-based individualised care.
  • Lead a Team of Health care Assistants, allocate duties and ensure that they are performing their duties adequately.
  • Evaluate resident care needs and in-conjunction with our multi-disciplinary team implement and evaluate individualised care plans that meet the resident’s needs.
  • To adhere to the procedures/guidelines in place.
  • Maintain clear, concise and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
  • Must be able to quickly and effectively work in an emergency situation.
  • Performs procedures accurately, completely and safely.
  • Build strong relationships with residents to encourage trust and understand their needs.
  • Knowledge and awareness of HIQA standards and ability to participate in inspection process.
  • Shifts are rostered Monday to Sunday and will include Night duty.
