QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
· Current NMC Registration
· Willingness to undertake required study
Desirable
· Principles and practice of palliative care or equivalent
· Preparation of Mentors or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
· Experience of working in a healthcare environment or care environment with palliative care
· Demonstrated experience in delivering palliative care, including symptom management, pain relief, and end-of-life care.
· Proven ability to administer and manage medications, including controlled drugs, safely and effectively
· Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
· Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring documentation meets legal and organizational standards
Desirable
· Experience of using SystmOne or similar systems
· Previous experience of working within a specialist palliative setting
· Understanding of clinical governance and compliance
