PROFESSIONAL / EDUCATION

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration clinical experience, ideally in primary care, ambulatory care, or hospital outpatient settings.
  • Experience in chronic disease management, anticoagulation, or women’s health is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Competence with clinical systems and willingness to engage in digital health innovations.
  • Relevant post registration experience, 2 years’ experience in a women’s health related field.
  • Experience in urology, gynecology, orthopedics an advantage

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Nurse to join the UPMC Institute for Health team at our 4th Practice in Mallow. This part-time role (2 days per week) will support a diverse patient population and work as part of a larger multidisciplinary team across multiple specialty clinics. The successful candidate will take clinical responsibility for managing warfarin patients, conducting blood pressure monitoring, supporting Holter monitor services, and assisting in consultant-led clinics including gynaecology, health screening, orthopaedics, and gastroenterology. As part of the wider UPMC Institute for Health nursing network, you will be connected to national and international teams with ongoing professional development opportunities. Hours: 19 hours per week (2 days)
