Thank you for your interest in this exciting position of Staff Nurse for our Mental Health Acute Wards in Hammersmith and Fulham mental health unit, we currently have vacancies on our male PICU. This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right candidate. You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills while providing first line advice, support, and information to a wide range of patients that are in the acute phase of a mental health crisis. The post holder will provide support when someone, both known to services and unknown comes to the unit.
You will need to have important nursing assessment skills, knowledge of the legal frameworks that inform acute mental health care, an understanding of mental health diagnosis and a well-informed understanding of psychosocial interventions.
