The North West Company is hiring a Staff Pharmacist to support the pharmacy at our La Ronge, Saskatchewan location. This is a relocation position, and if you are selected, NWC will provide full financial and logistical relocation support. Candidates must currently be legally entitled to work in Canada.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP)
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong communication and patient-counselling skills
  • Experience with pharmacy software (Kroll preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a rural/remote setting
  • Passion for healthcare in underserved communities
  • Team player with a supportive and adaptable attitude

Responsibilities

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will provide safe, patient-focused, and outcome-oriented care while working as part of a collaborative healthcare team in a remote northern setting.

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and safely
  • Provide professional and confidential patient counselling
  • Maintain patient records and documentation according to pharmacy standards
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal regulations, including privacy standards
  • Submit and manage NIHB and third-party claims
  • Support store pharmacy operations, including inventory management and ordering
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in the community to optimize patient care
  • Participate in clinical initiatives and community education programs
  • Support and mentor pharmacy assistants/technicians as needed
