Description

We are a small local pharmacy whose mission is to provide the upmost care to patients and, in doing so, contribute to the community.
We are looking for a PT Staff Pharmacist to join our team! You will be responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners to patients. Hours to start are 10:00AM to 5:00PM on Mondays and Fridays and 9:00AM to 2:00PM on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
  • Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication
  • Compound and dispense prescribed medications
  • Advise physicians and health practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications
  • Provide patients with pertinent drug information
  • Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage
  • Supervise and maintain records of all medications
  • Other duties as per pharmacy owner

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the BC College of Pharmacists and in Good Standing
  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience working in a retail pharmacy
  • Proficient in WinRX
  • Injection Certified
  • Teamwork-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Is willing to do what it takes to care for patients and grow the pharmacy
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Preferred: Certification in Opioid Use Disorder Maintenance

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Pharmacist: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • BC Pharmacist License (required)
  • Injection Certification (preferred)
  • OAT Certification (preferred)
