Roles and Responsibilities Supervise inpatient teams composed primarily of pediatric residents, family medicine residents, and medical students. No non-teaching clinical service obligations. Call by phone from home on alternating nights while on service. Swing shifts distributed equitably among 9 hospitalists. Participate in quality and process improvement efforts. Engage in resident and medical student education in clinical and formal/didactic environments. Education, Training, & Experience MD or DO degree. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics required; Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred. Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee. Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 64 beds. 32-bed Pediatric Emergency Department with over 40,000 visits each year.
