THE POSITION

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our Merchant Experience (MX) team at Hive. This is a senior IC role for a design leader who thrives in ambiguity, loves driving end-to-end product quality, and wants to shape the future of merchant operations across Europe.
You’ll work at the intersection of strategy and craft - partnering with leadership to shape product direction while also driving hands-on design execution across our customer-facing experiences.

• Lead the experience vision. Partner with product and engineering to set the north star for merchant experience across our Hive App and Customer Portal.
• Drive strategic initiatives. Take the lead on large, complex projects—elevating UX quality, simplifying merchant workflows, and ensuring cohesion across touchpoints.
• Mentor and elevate others. Be a multiplier for the design team by coaching others, sharing feedback, and fostering design excellence.
• Champion user outcomes. Embed research and feedback loops into the product lifecycle to ensure we solve the right problems and drive user value.
• Raise the design bar. Ensure all shipped work meets high standards of craft, usability, and product-market fit.
• Own cross-team design initiatives. Identify experience gaps across surfaces, drive cross-functional alignment, and implement systems-level design solutions.
