YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 5+ years product management experience .
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields
  • Solid understanding of the modern software, tooling technology stack, including simulation and ML.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects forward, even without a clear path.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Proven ability to balance tradeoffs between user needs and

expectations, technical requirements and constraints and business objectives .

  • Demonstrated expertise in writing, with the ability to effectively balance and integrate vision, strategy, and technical details in a cohesive narrative.

  • An MBA or a master’s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Experience working on Autonomous Vehicles, systems evaluation, ML infrastructure, or large-scale simulation/testing.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $155,000 to $238,300. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

As a Staff Product Manager for Simulation Testing , you will define and execute the strategy and roadmap for our Simulation Testing products enabling high-fidelity, scalable and trus tworthy testing of GMs next generation autonomy . This role will drive innovation in how we assess AV performance at scale in Simulation across multiple dimensions like Safety, Com fort , Regulatory Compliance etc and provide insights faster to the autonomy development and validation teams . You’ll lead cross-functional efforts to drive alignment and roadmap across end to end model evaluation, subsystem evaluation and infrastructure to support it.
Success requires strong technical judgment, principled decision-making, and the ability to build alignment across engineering, product, infrastructure, and operations teams. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making tough tradeoffs, and thinking both from first principles and at fleet-wide scale

What You’ll Do

  • Own the long-term product vision, setting strategic direction for S imulation Testing infrastructure at GM.
  • Build Novel Testing Products: Drive innovation in test pool composition ( e . g. dynamic, generative test suites, and sufficient coverage sourcing ) and automatic metrics interpretation that surface issues at scale without need for human analysis.
  • Unify Testing across Functions: Deliver a cohesive testing platform that aligns the needs of AV software developers and AV systems engineers—bridging the gap between development testing and release validation.
  • Partner with AI/ML Sim teams for Efficiency Opportunities: Leverage machine learning to automatically create and maintain simulation scenarios, and uncover test insights with minimal manual labeling or curation.
  • Scale via Contractor Workforce: Design workflows and tools to enable a skilled contractor workforce to participate in test creation, triage, maintenance, and analysis—freeing up core engineering resources and increasing operational velocity.
  • Help drive a data-driven culture and establish and monitor key metrics to

measure the effectiveness of Simulation Testing products.
