Description
Software testing Review proposed technologies, develop test strategies and contribute proposals to improve testability Lead test planning including test design, test coverage, test approach, risk assessment, and reporting metrics. Design and develop new automation tools. Design, set up, configure, and maintain software testing labs and environments. Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and collaborate with the engineering team to isolate, debug, and resolve issues. Participate in bug review meetings and analyse bug status data and metrics. Demonstrable high-level experience in test planning, test design, and test reporting. High-level experience testing software on a range of software and hardware platforms such as Android, Windows, MacOS, Unix/Linux, and iOS. Extensive experience using test automation frameworks. Make well-informed technical decisions that consider all aspects of problems Provide technical guidance to team members and assist engineers with tool utilization Stay abreast of industry software testing tools and best practices and make significant contributions to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools or methods. Work autonomously while managing ambiguity and multiple priorities effectively Manage time effectively to achieve both individual and team objectives Clearly communicate technical concepts to audiences at all organizational levels Represent the team and company professionally when interacting with internal and external customers Build a high degree of influence with internal & external partners Mentor junior team members and enhance team effectiveness through workflow improvements Develop and maintain key relationships throughout the organization A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 8+ years of software testing experience, with a primary focus on Android or Linux ecosystems. Extensive experience testing Audio/Video products for the consumer electronics or automotive industries. 5+ years' experience working with video/audio codecs (H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC), multimedia frameworks, or DSP technologies. Experience with Android OS internals is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in Python scripting for building and maintaining test automation frameworks. A thorough understanding of software testing life cycle and QA processes. Familiarity with automotive standards and security testing practices. Capability to plan project deadlines using goals and work breakdown structures. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both general and technology-specific contexts.
