The Staff Research Associate (SRA) will support research initiatives in the Rajkovic laboratory, focusing on the genetic foundations of human reproductive genomics. The lab investigates reproductive genetic pathologies such as ovarian failure, uterine leiomyomas, and early pregnancy losses. This position involves working with transgenic mice to collect tissues related to uterine development and leiomyoma formation, as well as managing the mouse colony and conducting genotyping.
The SRA will collaborate closely with the postdoctoral fellow and principal investigator to design studies and perform experimental work. Additionally, the role may involve collecting and processing human tissues from individuals experiencing infertility, uterine leiomyomas, and pregnancy losses.
Responsibilities include extracting genomic DNA, constructing whole genome sequencing libraries, conducting whole genome sequencing, and performing data analysis. The SRA will also engage in single-cell sequencing and associated data analysis. Maintaining precise records of tissues and phenotypes collected throughout the study is essential.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
