(ADI) Analog Devices’ Edge AI team is on a mission to redefine how machines perceive and interact with the world. We’re building real-time, intelligent systems that combine world-class sensor technology with cutting-edge AI — at the Edge, where milliseconds matter. We’re seeking a Staff Robotics Test Engineer to take ownership of hardware-based data collection and validation workflows, with a strong emphasis on real-world sensor data gathering, robotic use cases, and hardware-in-the-loop evaluation. This role will also involve testing and certifying simulation assets to ensure they meet the highest standards for deployment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in hardware and sensor validation to design and execute robust data collection pipelines and test cases for validating sensor assets. Collaborating closely with simulation and AI engineers, you will play a key role in ensuring that real-world sensor data and test results align seamlessly with simulation environments, helping to bridge the gap between simulation and reality. Responsibilities Validation & Test Design: Utilize hands-on expertise with ToF, Tactile, RGB-D, and IMU sensors to develop test cases and define validation metrics for simulation assets, ensuring readiness for deployment. Sim-to-Real Integration: Collaborate with simulation and AI teams to align physical hardware outputs with virtual environments, driving improvements in sim-to-real transfer accuracy. ML-Driven Data Collection: Partner with machine learning engineers to define and execute data collection strategies that support training of state-of-the-art physics-informed neural networks and AI robotic policies. Safety Protocol Engineering: Develop and enforce safety protocols for deploying reinforcement learning agents on physical hardware, ensuring safe and reliable operation in real-world environments. Field Support & Troubleshooting: Provide on-site support for setup, testing, and debugging of robotic platforms and sensor arrays, ensuring smooth operation during field deployments.
