STV is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an experienced Staff Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to join our Atlanta, GA offices. This role is ideal for a licensed Georgia surveyor with strong technical expertise, project management experience, and the leadership skills needed to support complex surveying projects for public agencies and private-sector clients. The Staff RPLS will be responsible for managing survey projects, overseeing staff, ensuring quality and compliance, and supporting business development efforts while maintaining the highest professional standards. Work Schedule Monday- Thursday 10-hour days with out-of-town work expected Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver surveying projects for municipalities, counties, and private developers Review, certify, sign, and seal survey documents including plats, maps, exhibits, and legal descriptions Ensure accuracy and quality of all survey data, site plans, charts, records, and related documentation Lead boundary analysis and resolution efforts, topographic surveys, and construction surveys Develop scopes of work, project schedules, and competitive fee proposals Oversee survey staff and field crews, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight Establish and maintain quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) procedures and best practices Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams Lead survey projects from kickoff through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction Support client relationships and contribute to business development and proposal efforts Assist in developing and refining survey procedures, systems, and project delivery methods Qualifications Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in the State of Georgia (active and in good standing) Minimum 15 years of progressive surveying experience Demonstrated experience working with public agencies and private development clients Strong knowledge of: Boundary analysis and resolution Topographic surveying Construction staking and survey support Proven project and staff management experience Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to lead survey teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Technical Skills (Preferred) Proficiency with one or more of the following: MicroStation OpenRoads Designer AutoCAD Civil 3D Trimble Business Center Carlson Survey Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Additional Requirements Valid Georgia Driver’s License Ability to travel locally to project sites as needed Compensation Range: $106,908.24 - $142,544.33 Don’t meet every single requirement?
