To further scale our growing business, we are looking for a Staff Salesforce Engineer - Technical Architect , based in Germany.
As a Staff Salesforce Engineer – Technical Architect at Oviva, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Salesforce platform, which serves as the backbone of our global business operations. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, and other business units to define the platform’s strategic direction and ensure it evolves in line with Oviva’s long-term objectives.

You will act as a trusted technical authority, driving architectural vision, setting technical standards, and guiding teams in the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce solutions. Your leadership will extend beyond engineering, influencing how Oviva manages patient journeys and streamlines operational processes. By mentoring other engineers and leading complex initiatives, you’ll ensure our Salesforce ecosystem supports both operational excellence and a seamless user experience, ultimately helping us deliver accessible and effective care to people living with weight-related conditions.

  • Extensive Salesforce expertise: 7+ years of advanced Salesforce development and architecture experience, with mastery of Sales Cloud , Service Cloud , and Data Cloud . Deep proficiency in Flows, APEX, Lightning Components, SOQL, and platform governance, with a proven ability to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
  • Strategic leadership: Proven ability to identify opportunities where Salesforce can unlock significant business value, design end-to-end solutions, and secure alignment from senior stakeholders. Demonstrated capability to drive initiatives that align technical direction with business priorities.
  • Ownership & initiative: History of independently shaping and driving complex Salesforce initiatives from concept through to measurable outcomes. Skilled at collecting stakeholder feedback, making roadmap decisions, and prioritising features, ensuring delivery without reliance on a PM or PO to define the path forward.
  • Proven integration expertise: Track record of delivering robust, secure, and reliable integrations between Salesforce and critical third-party systems, ensuring seamless workflows and data integrity.
  • Mentorship & influence: Strong track record of guiding and uplifting other engineers, setting technical standards, and fostering cross-team alignment on Salesforce initiatives.
  • Automation & AI-driven innovation : Strong curiosity and hands-on engagement with AI and cutting-edge technologies, actively experimenting with AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor for coding assistance) to enhance engineering workflows. Demonstrates a strong tendency to automate workflows and tasks, to drive innovation, efficiency, and scalability.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification (minimum); both certifications and progress toward Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) highly desired.
  • Drive Salesforce architectural vision, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that align with Oviva’s technology strategy.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across engineering and operations to drive the Salesforce roadmap, aligning it with Oviva’s long-term vision and patient-first mission.
  • Lead the design and delivery of high-impact Salesforce solutions that significantly improve operational workflows.
  • Establish and champion Salesforce engineering best practices.
  • Mentor other Salesforce engineers, guide technical decision-making, and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration across the organisation.
  • Anticipate platform constraints, proactively address performance and reliability concerns.
