SUMMARY

This is a grant and restricted fund supported position for a trained scientist who will work with Principal Investigators (PI’s) to perform designated tasks within PI’s projects. Additionally, the staff scientist will hone their grant writing skills with a goal to eventually pursue a career as an independent PI. This position is focused on the field of biostatistics, AI and machine learning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Three years of post doctoral research experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Data Science

• Perform statistical analyses on PI’s datasets
• Build, validate and test machine learning models
• Provide statistical and machine learning analyses as parts of publications and grant applications
• Prepare and submit mentored grant applications e.g. k99/r00 to support their own work
• Perform short-term statistical analysis tasks and machine-learning tasks supporting clinical faculty in pursuit of both Research and Quality Improvement goals
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
