Job Description At Sportradar, we power the global sports ecosystem with data that drives decisions in real time. As a Staff [or Senior] Engineer in our Data Acquisition Unit, you’ll help shape the systems behind this data—working on large‑scale, distributed platforms that collect and deliver sports data across more than 200 competitions. This is a role for experienced engineers who want their work to matter. THE CHALLANGE: Design and build a Data Management Platform and APIs for sports oriented real-time data from a variety of complex sources, showcasing your adaptability to different protocols and technologies. Assume the role of a tech lead demonstrating breadth and depth of your experience. Collaborate with users, architects, managers and fellow engineers to innovate and refine the product. Utilize advanced knowledge in TypeScript/JS, and modern development practices to lead and guide the team in organizing themselves around optimal solutions. Be a the quality advocate for and proponent of clean code and clean architecture. ABOUT YOU EXPECTATIONS: Advanced TypeScript/JavaScript skills Understanding of network protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, including response statuses, headers, request methods, cookies, etc. Familiarity with gRPC, REST API & WebSockets Hands-on experience in writing tests Experience in designing and working on highly scalable systems Demonstrated can-do attitude, You take pride in your own work while remaining a team player DESIRABLE: Familiarity with various AWS services including S3, EC, VPC, ElastiCache, MSK, etc Experience with Docker and K8s Worked on Agile development teams Hands-on experience with AI coding tools NICE TO HAVE: Experience with Fronted design/UX OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS: Initial Screening - a short introductory conversation with our Talent Acquisition Partner to discuss your background, experience, and expectations.
