Are you a Systems Architect who thinks in terms of "Job Dispatch," "Data Gravity," and "Distributed Tracing"? Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role The Hybrid-Dispatch Engine: Architect the Python middleware that evaluates a job request and decides "Run Local" vs. "Run on Cloud." You will build the transport layer that creates a seamless bridge between Windows OS (Development) and Linux OS (Runtime). Tiered Data Fabric: Simulations generate Petabytes of data. You will architect the "Hot/Cold" storage lifecycle, moving data from high-performance NVMe (for active jobs) to S3/Tape (for archive), and designing the IPC (Inter-Process Communication) for real-time data streaming. System Intelligence & Observability: "My job stalled." Why? You will implement Open Telemetry and Distributed Tracing to track a job's life across VPNs, Firewalls, and Schedulers. You will also build License-Aware Scheduling to optimize our expensive EDA tool usage. The "Simulation Factory" (CI/CD): Architect the Inner Source pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins) that automatically validate, lint, package, and deploy new simulation methodologies contributed by domain experts Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed A System Thinker: You have 6+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years architecting distributed platforms. You understand that "Scale" isn't just about CPU; it's about Storage I/O, Network Latency, and License Constraints. An OS Polyglot: You are comfortable debugging Windows Process injection issues in the morning and Linux Kernel namespace issues in the afternoon. The "Platform" Mindset: You understand the separation between Content (The Simulation Logic) and Container (The Platform). You excel at building robust APIs and SDKs for other developers to use.
