Want to make a real difference for K-12 students? Facilities play an important role in student achievement; we know the physical environment has measurable impact on student learning. However, very small and rural school districts do not always have sufficient staff and financial resources to address some of their facility needs.
The Supporting Priority School Districts program will provide, to select eligible districts, direct technical assistance on school maintenance planning and funding. The California Department of Education (CDE) will collect data from these districts to develop learning resources and tools, and create an on-line portal to house these new resources, which will be available to all districts.
Under the direction of Education Administrator I, the Staff Services Manager I will coordinate all aspects of the Supporting Priority School Districts program implementation. This includes:
1) Overseeing development of regulations to guide program implementation.
2) Leading the technical service delivery to participating school districts.
3) Building a network of school facility practitioners and industry partners and convening quarterly meetings.
4) Coordinating the development of facility resources for districts.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with school districts in a way that will deliver tangible results. See the full Duty Statement for details.
You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.
