Description:

ABOUT HELCIM

Helcim was founded with a mission at heart: to be the world’s most loved payment system. We believe that by offering small businesses in North America a decidedly human payment solution where it is easier to sign up and use while being transparent and affordable, we can empower them to grow and prosper. Simply put, helping small businesses thrive is at the very core of our business model, and we think that’s a great way to do business.
From the very start, we knew that we wanted to be different from every payment processor out there. We want the merchants we serve to feel supported and see us as a trusted partner rather than simply just another “cost of doing business.” We are relentless in our pursuit to provide a radically transparent and honest payments solution that flat out saves business owners money, all while treating them like human beings.

THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Developer to lead the design and development of simple solutions to complex technical problems spanning multiple domains. In this role, you will serve as a key technical expert, driving innovation, setting technical and architectural direction, and solving high-impact problems.
As a Staff Developer, you will not only contribute to hands-on coding but also mentor and guide engineers at all levels. By setting best practices and leading code reviews, you will ensure the adoption of high engineering standards that foster maintainability, performance, and reliability.
The ideal candidate has six or more years of professional experience in software development, with a demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex systems in a fast-paced, startup environment. You should have deep technical expertise in full-stack development and a track record of influencing technical direction across teams. Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a passion for fostering technical growth within teams are essential for success in this role. If you thrive in a high-impact, collaborative environment and love solving challenging technical problems, we’d love to hear from you.
