We're looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hybrid role, reporting in the Bangalore office 3 days a week. Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering, you'll be responsible for: Partnering with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements Defining software design specifications and implementing bug free code using test driven methodology Looking for opportunities to refactor existing code in the interests of maintainability and reusability Collaborating closely with other cross functional engineering teams (security, UI, platform, analytics and quality assurance) Diagnosing complex customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 5+ years of software development experience in building large-scale applications using Python or Golang Hands-on experience with popular public cloud services infrastructure offerings such as AWS, GCP, Azure Good knowledge with cloud networking namely - transit gateway, IGW, NATGW, NACL, security groups, GWLB, ILB, Route53, Azure DNS Strong software design, profiling, and verification skills and exposure to optimizing for scale and performance Proficiency in using debugging tools such as GDB debuggers and logic analyzers What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Strong distributed systems and SaaS development experience Strong knowledge of Firewalls and Networking protocols Familiarity with Identity management and authentication #LI-Hybrid #LI-RM6 At Zscaler, we are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve and the customers we work with.
