As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a fully qualified, experienced professional responsible for the implementation and delivery of our enterprise-scale SaaS products, operating with Champion Pace. The Mission: What You'll Be Building You will be a core contributor in the design, development, and implementation of new models and procedures. You will provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and leverage in-depth professional knowledge to develop solutions in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and Agile product development. Your Impact/ What you will be doing: Independent Design & Implementation: Independently design, implement, and lead the development and testing of scalable web application features. Take end-to-end ownership of critical components across modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services. Complex Problem Resolution: Provide solutions to complex issues in creative and effective ways. Proactively debug, diagnose, and resolve a wide range of complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack with limited guidance. Understand the interrelationships of different disciplines and apply this knowledge to system design. Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert to mentor junior engineers, lead complex cross-team code reviews, and help set quality and performance standards. Adapt style to differing audiences and often advise others on difficult matters. Code for Scale & Efficiency: Optimize existing code and system architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability, translating complex product and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and working code. Core Technical Foundations / What we are looking for Mastery in Data Structures & Algorithms: A strong foundation, including a clear understanding of time and space complexity. OOP Fundamentals: A solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is essential. Web Basics: Foundational knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend programming (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Python). Architectural Awareness: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and end-to-end application communication, as well as an awareness of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling. Version Control: Proficiency with Git. The Mindset: Strategic Problem Solver: Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points. Qualifications Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8 to 12 years of related professional software development experience.
