As a Staff Software Engineer in Graphics, you will play a critical role in advancing high-performance rendering technologies for modern applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and innovate the core rendering engine, ensuring fast, reliable, and visually accurate graphics across multiple platforms. This role offers the opportunity to influence the architecture of graphics systems, contribute to open standards, and tackle challenging performance and reliability problems. You will work with cutting-edge graphics frameworks and GPU architectures, developing solutions that enhance user experiences on desktop and mobile platforms. Accountabilities: Define and drive architectural improvements for graphics rendering engines to ensure high performance across platforms. Write, maintain, and optimize software in C++ and Rust, including unit tests and documentation. Investigate, propose, and implement solutions to improve rendering performance, reliability, and power efficiency. Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality and security. Collaborate with internal teams and external standards organizations to contribute to industry-leading graphics technologies. Support the integration of security and sandboxing measures, ensuring robust and safe code execution. 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer. Proficiency in C++ and/or Rust programming languages. Experience with modern graphics frameworks such as OpenGL ES, WebGL, Metal, WebGPU, Vulkan, or DirectX 11/12. Strong knowledge of GPU architectures and graphics pipeline design. Expertise in debugging and optimizing multi-threaded code. Familiarity with security, sandboxing, and IPC architectures is a plus.
