In this role, you will lead the development and evolution of a cutting-edge mobile platform, shaping the experience for millions of users. You will combine hands-on engineering expertise with strategic leadership, influencing architecture, performance, and product quality. This role offers the opportunity to mentor and elevate engineers while collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams. You will work on both React Native and native iOS/Android solutions to deliver a seamless, high-performing, and scalable mobile experience. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s ability to provide intuitive, reliable, and innovative mobile applications for business travel management. The position is remote-friendly, with occasional in-person collaboration as needed. Accountabilities: Architect and implement high-impact mobile features, defining scalable solutions for both iOS and Android. Lead technical decision-making across mobile projects, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability. Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, shaping best practices, reviewing designs, and fostering technical growth. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to align roadmaps and deliver a cohesive mobile strategy. Integrate native modules where necessary to bridge React Native with platform-specific features. Drive continuous improvement in mobile architecture, CI/CD, testing practices, and performance optimization. 8+ years of experience building and scaling mobile applications, with substantial hands-on work in React Native or native development. Strong proficiency in React Native, TypeScript, mobile architecture, performance tuning, and native module integration. Proven ability to lead initiatives, influence architecture, and mentor engineers. System-oriented, pragmatic, and ambitious, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional mobile experiences. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working across technical and non-technical teams. Experience in design-led product development, rebuilding core flows, and delivering unified mobile-first experiences. Competitive base salary ($148,200–$205,000 USD) depending on experience and location. Equity and/or variable pay (OTE) opportunities.
