THE ROLE

We’re looking for a senior-level backend engineer to lead core payments and ledgering systems. This person will drive architecture and execution of money movement flows, financial reconciliation, and internal tooling to support a multi-billion-dollar transaction pipeline.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build and scale the systems that handle transaction reconciliation across multiple third-party providers.
• Ensure consistency between internal records and user-facing balances.
• Collaborate with a third-party ledger infrastructure partner to build reliable, high-performance accounting systems.
• Design and implement new money movement flows (e.g., push-to-card, wires), optimizing for cost, reliability, and speed.
• Scope and lead large backend/platform projects end-to-end, including mentoring a small team of engineers.
• Work cross-functionally with product and GTM teams to turn complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to a high-bar engineering culture and operational excellence.
