ROLE OVERVIEW

At Harvey, our platform team lays the foundation for everything we build. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll design and scale the core systems that power our legal AI product — from authentication and permissions to observability and integrations. You’ll work closely with product, infra, and security teams to drive velocity, reliability, and compliance across the stack. This is a high-leverage role for engineers who love building systems that scale and thrive on cross-functional collaboration.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use an in-person work model and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement core abstractions and services that increase product velocity: notifications, data fetching patterns, data access abstractions, etc.
  • Improve reliability, scalability, and compliance for platform services like permissions management, admin reporting, and customizations.Develop and enhance platform features including authentication, compliance, and enterprise integrations across the legal tech ecosystem
  • Partner closely with product teams to seamlessly integrate new features into core platform
  • Establish best practices in security, compliance, and maintainability throughout development cycles
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership, promoting best practices and fostering team growth
