This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer in the United States. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain a cloud-based platform that enables secure and scalable healthcare data exchange. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and clinical informatics stakeholders to deliver innovative software solutions. The position requires expertise in cloud architecture, software development, and clinical interoperability standards. You will take ownership of end-to-end platform functionality, ensuring high availability, compliance with regulations, and seamless integration with third-party systems. This role offers the opportunity to shape critical technology solutions that have a direct impact on patient care and operational efficiency in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. Accountabilities: Architect, design, and develop cloud-based software solutions, leveraging Go and AWS services. Integrate third-party interface engines to enable seamless healthcare data exchange. Ensure platform compliance with healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulations (HIPAA). Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitor performance, and ensure platform security and resilience. Drive best practices in cloud architecture, including serverless, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code. Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting modern software development practices and security standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software solutions. Own post-launch platform maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. 7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related IT field. Strong proficiency in Go programming language. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation. Experience building and deploying cloud-based SaaS solutions, preferably in clinical interoperability. Familiarity with third-party interface engines and healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR). Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPCs, KMS encryption, and HIPAA-compliant architecture. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Competitive base salary ($121,100 – $199,800 USD annually, depending on experience and location).
