Company: QT Technologies Ireland Limited Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: As a Staff Engineer in the Host Software team for Secure Compute, you will design and implement secure host-side software components that enable workloads on advanced hardware platforms. This role focuses on Linux system software development and integration with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) for secure inference and secure compute. Please note this role will require 5 days per week onsite in our Cork office* Key Responsibilities: Host Stack Development: Design, implement and optimize host drivers and libraries for secure compute workloads. Desing and development test cases for CI (Contiguous Integration). Secure Compute Enablement: Integrate host software with Secure VM (CVM) and Software Isolated VM (SIVM) solutions. Support secure PCIe device assignment and SR-IOV for workloads. Troubleshoot customer deployment issues with containers and virtual machines. Security & Attestation: Implement mechanisms for device attestation, lifecycle management, and secure interface configuration. Collaborate on PCIe firewall and memory/register protection features. Performance & Debug: Address host-side issues such as boot log transfers, PCI link retrain, and overflow handling. Optimize host stack for AI inference workloads . Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, hypervisor, and target software teams to ensure seamless integration. Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership for host-side security features. Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in Linux system software (including kernel/driver) development. Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, git, debugging tools, and performance tuning on Linux. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Docker, KVM, SR-IOV) and computing frameworks. Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and secure device management. Proficiency in communication and documentation. Experience with AI/ML workload optimization on secure platforms. Contributions to open-source kernel or confidential computing projects. Linux system administration experience. Working knowledge of PCIE3.0+.
